My Weight Loss Ticker

10% Goal

Hey Guys

Well I'm so dam proud of myself this week, I lost 1.9kg. It means I am now 13.8kg down. I have also made my next Goal of 10% lost. So I got my lil Gold Star from WW, and it sits proudly on my keyring. (For those of you who don't know, ww gives you: 5kg =you get a bookmark, 10%= a gold metal star with ww on it, that will sit on a keyring. Goal= A keyring (Silver) with the ww symbol on it. Maintenance= A little gold metal key that will sit on the keyring from ww.
Maintenance means 6 weeks following reaching GOAL, you do this program. Once you reach the end of this you gain Lifetime membership at WW!

I didn't do as much exercise as I would have liked (only did 1 day, due to cramping) but I stuck to my points and that seems to have worked wonders. It's not even that I stuck to my points, it's that I ate wisely! If I had bread at lunch I didn't have it at dinner, I didn't have really bloating foods before bed. I had snacks in between meals to ensure my metabolism would keep purring along. So I think on the whole i've become alot wiser this last week. I've made really good choices. Although I will admit there were a few times there I could have easily gone and had something really naughty, but I didn't I stuck to my guns. I knew I didn't want to end up disappointed today, so I said NO!

This week now I'm even more motivated! I want to lose 1.2kg to bring me to 15kg mark. BUT I know that it may not happen after such a great loss this week, so it's an aim but if I don't make it this week, I'll make it next week. Either way, I'll be sticking to my points again and since my legs are better I'll be doing at least 40 min of exercise a day (except Saturday, since I'm working all day) But the other 6 (including today) I will be doing some movement. I did 10 mins on the x-trainer this morning just to pump up the blood a little, and tonight I have every intention of getting on the bike for 30 mins. Then I'll do my ab workout.

Shaun's brother Troy comes up in another week, so we are looking forward to seeing him. He lives in England, so it will be nice to catch up after a long while!

Anyway, I'll check in, in the next day or two.
Til then

gym gear

Hey Guys

Well today I ventured out and purchased some new gym gear. I bought some flat head gloves and a hook and jab glove set for boxing with Shaun. It should be fun! I also bought a medicine ball, and a jump rope! So I expand the kind of exercise I'm doing to shake it up a little!

Anyway not much else to report. I'm still eating right and the scales are going down and down and down each and every day! So good news!

K xo

Im so good!

Well I must say I am extremely proud of myself this week! I have done so well. I have NOT had any junky foods, drank my water, stuck to my points and exercised.

The scales are showing it too. It's fantastic! Next week might be harder though since my body right now is in a little shock from the shake-up, but I will push through it.

I had lay-by'd some trackie dacks and t-shirts in Dec. I had 1 track dacks in the size I am now and 2 the size below, for when I lose weight. I picked up my lay-by this morning, and to my surprise, I have to take the bigger trackie dacks back! LOL. They are too big! Which means I've lost weight around my hips, bum and waist! So I think I've gone down a size in bottoms too. (Although they are track suit pants but still it counts!)

I went and bought 2 new fans for the house, they are sooo cute, they are real little and black which is good cause they fit anywhere. $18 each isn't bad! I put them together all by myself! HEHEHEHHE Good me eh?

Anyway gotta get ready for work.

Power outage!

Hey Guys

Well today I woke up to a power outage! FUN. In the electrical company's defence they did send us a notice saying it would be out from 9-1pm. BUT, still geez. I planned on doing the grocery shopping. Couldn't do it..... The stupid garage door is electrical and the manual override is missing! AAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So I was stuck in the house without my beloved internet for company, no Austar (country foxtel), no phone. It was awful. So I made the best of a crap situation and I cleaned the house!

It was funny cause I'd walk into the laundry and go to the cupboard and go to turn on the light and "oh yeah no power" it was so frustrating! But I got through it without having anything to eat except breakfast (an Up and Go = 3 points)! Then when the power came back on I went and did the shopping. So when I got home I had a sandwich for lunch and then finally got onto the computer to check emails etc. Now after dinner and desert (a yummy ww sundae) I have only consumed 23.5 of my 27 points for the day! WOO HOO me! AND I'm not even hungry. I've been living by "if hunger isn't the problem, then food isn't the solution" motto this week. So far so good.

I didn't go for a walk or anything today, mainly because my legs are still recovering and I was on my feet all day from when I realised I had to clean the house to make the day go by, to when Shaun came home at 4:30pm. Shaun suggested this morning I do a light workout, but apparently everything I did today is the same thing. So I didn't bother doing anything else. Oh I did get in the shower and scrub the hell out of it! So that was another lil workout I spose.

Anyway,
Til next time...

Blog

Nothing tastes as good as losing weight feels

Hey Guys

Do you like my new look blog?

Well I must say I'm doing super well so far. I've only done 2 days but boy I feel GREAT.
I didn't last night, we went for a walk and half way (4km round trip) I started to feel a spasm in my inner calf's (both legs) and boy oh boy did it hurt! So I kept walking and walking and walking, and when I got home I collapsed in tears. Both my legs were cramping up. OUCH. Today they are still quite sore, and trying to walk around at work was a killer. But I managed and I pushed through it. They feel slightly better but I stayed away from exercise today (apart from work) so I will get back into it tomorrow!

I was in Coles today, buying some steak for dinner tonight and I was sooooooooo good! Do you realise how easy it would have been for me to buy junk food, especially Easter eggs??? BUT I didn't (yay me) I resisted temptation (with great difficulty) but I did I resisted! I feel so good now. It's so hard. People just don't understand. You can't just switch it off like a light bulb. It doesn't quite work that way. It take such strong will power, and somehow today I found some and said NO!

It was funny cause after I said my NO, I read on the ww boards of another fellow loser who said YES, and how badly she felt and I just thought, that could've been me! It's not hard to do mind you. I've done it way too many times before, and you are allowed to do it! That's thing. If I do this properly and really watch what I eat and do my exercise and see results, then what's keeping me later down the track having a nice treat? Nothing really except whether or not I'll actually want it then! The only food I know for certain I will always want (and I can hear dad saying "you shouldn't want that!") is Chocolate....... I can't help it. I'm a sweet tooth, there's no beating that demon. I have promised myself that if I do really good between now and Easter I will allow myself an egg, guilt free! And not just one of those little itty bitty ones, either, a med sized egg. I know I can work it off too, since Shaun and I have already had one! (A few weeks ago) and I still lost weight, so if I'm really good, then I will reward myself, but I have to work it off, and make room for it in my points.

It's strange how your whole attitude can change. It's like I woke up one day and knew what I really had to do. It got to me too, cause all I kept thinking about was, I want a family, but not like this! I'm at the stage now where I'm getting really clucky! So I don't have any other option. I think for once I'm actually on the right path!
I have 1.9kg to lose until I've lost 10% of my weight! How awesome is that? and then 1.2kg after that til I'm 15kg down. My goal of 20kg by the time TBL (The Biggest Loser) finishes may be closer than I thought! That show runs for 12 weeks. It's in it's 3 week! I've got 9 weeks to lose 8 kg. Let the games begin

6 more weeks til the family come up.... woo hoo. I'm actually quite excited to show them around our shabby lil town. It's not that much to ppl who live here, but maybe to ppl who don't? It's a redneck zone what can I say? We'll find something to do!
I've arranged to have the Saturday off, since most likely I'll get sat's on permanent. So I handed in a note to the boss now before I go over to the contract to secure that day off. lol
It will be funny for M,D&D (Mum, Dad & Dave) to see the dogs in their own environment. They have never seen them at their most playful! lol it will be funny.

Anyway, another good day tomorrow I can feel it!

Catch ya round!

K

Woo Hoo!

If hunger is not the problem, food is not the solution

This is going to be my motivation for eating within my points this week! This week I will have no outer limit foods. I am going to have a GREAT week and will stick to my points.

"If you dont work the points, the points won't work" Something else to live by!

Well I lost 900grams this week! So I'm happy with that, although I was kinda hoping for 1kg. But what is 100grams??? It's nothing I won't make up for this week.

So far so good this week, it's only been a few hours, but already I've made smarter choices with food. Ive had water to drink instead of Coke Zero (even though both are 0 points). I've planned the rest of today's food to fit in with my points. I have planned my weekly exercise routine, and I'm feeling confident!

Thankyou Lisa, for your inspiring words.
"Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm"
This is very true and you are right I do have the enthusiasm therefore i will find the success.

Well Im feeling much better today, I have slept alot over the last couple of days, so I think I finally got rid of whatever it was I had.

Anyway guys, I'll write again soon...

Going well , I think!

Hey all...

Well so far so good, I think! I can't really tell cause I've been sick this week. So I could still be retaining fluids. ????
I woke up on Friday and felt like utter crap! I had a sore throat, TTOM, cramps, headache, and the sniffies. ARGH! But I went on, as you do. I had to call into work this day too, and check my roster and while i was there, Gayle (boss) had mentioned to another worker that she wanted to speak to me and was going to call me, but i went and saw her while i was there. She wanted to say that I will be given permanent! On Wed I wrote a note to Gayle asking for perm hours and it has seemed to work. I will be getting 20 hours a week. 12 on layby and 8 on checkout.
I worked Sat and I really wasn't well at all. Then i woke up this morning and i felt so much better! I did a big workout this morning. I did a 4km walk, ran 1km of it. Then came home and did 10 min of interval training. So needless to say im stuffed now.
Im really into the Biggest Loser this year. More for motivation than anything. I am looking forward to tonights weigh in to see how they did! And LOST , oh wow! How good is it this year so far? It's really going somewhere now...
Anyway, Ill write tomorrow and let you know how I go at my weigh in! Wish me luck.

Woo Hoo!

Well I just had a good session today. I got home from work and Shaun said he was going for a walk and I said "Nah not today I'm sore from work" and I sat and I sat and then Shaun walked out the door and all of a sudden I found myself bolting to the door to tell him to wait!

So we went for a walk. We did 3.7km in 44mins and I ran 1/3 of it! I am tired now but I managed to come home and do my Ab workout! lol
SOOOO SORE NOW!

Anywho otherwise good!

Toodles. xoxo

Motivation

Hey Guys

For motivational purposes Im going to start putting a saying or quote at the top of my posts, one that has inspired/helped me to overcome some problem ive had that week.

I don't quite have one yet, there are sooooo many out there and they are all really good, but i want to chose one that has inspired ME, to actually accomplish something.

Today has been good, did some exercise after work, not a huge thing but i kept my heart rate at the appropriate rate the whole time so that's something. I also did a huge ab workout. SO SORE NOW.

Anyway have a great day tomorrow and i might write again! Stay tuned.

K.....

P.S, I have made the settings so that the whole week posts are up. This is just so if you missed one you can scroll down with ease.

What the???

Hey All!

Well I'm not too sure how? But I lost 600 grams this week! I haven't made the best food choices and yet somehow I managed to lose!!! What The?

Well I will take that as a sign that someone likes me and I am meant to stay on track, so this week I'm gonna kick ASS!
I'm starting to get back into the swing of things since I'm back at work, so now the exercise should "SHOULD" follow! I can't go dancing this week since I'm working that night! So I will miss this weeks class. It has been raining everyday for the last week and is again today, so I really can't get OUT and about, but will jump on the bike and x-trainer.

I think I might even do a weight session today! I need to really start bringing the weights in every workout. In a proven study, of 2 people at the same weight who ate the same foods and did the same exercise. 1 of those people also did resistance training!
The person who didnt do weights lost more to start with (while the other built muscle) but once the muscle had gone "ok i see what's happening" that second person lost more and toned quicker.

It has been proven the more muscle you have the more calories you burn (even when sleeping) So I'm starting to think it's a good idea if I incorporate weights into every workout session. Reps to Tone, weight to Build! I want to TONE, so lower weight, more reps!

Ill let you know how I go! Keep in mind, while building muscle, you're weight loss on the scales can halt for a week or two, but I should lose cm's (inches for you older ones) lol

Work is going well, but I wish I had more hours, I am really enjoying it still and Im holding on for the more hours to come my way. We have had 2 ppl leave since Christmas due to finishing uni and moving on. 1 more is going to Uni so he won't be able to do day work, another is leaving (she lives in Brisbane) and another one is pregnant so she refuses to do lay-by because of the lifting. That leaves ME! (Other than the 2 perm girls) which means hopfully in another month I should be getting close to 25 hours a week!

Dogs are good. Astro fell off the couch this morning, you had to laugh he's such a wally! Jazzy is good, glad to be home I think. Although she hasn't been going spastic at the cat that sits out the front as much so Im thankful she had the experience with Morti that she did!

I am way excited about Mum, Dad and Dave coming up. I think they will be suprised to see how we live. It's no where near as large as Melbourne. Actually according to Wikipedia, Toowoomba is the 15th largest city in Australia! Whereas Melb is 2nd!
So there ya go.

I hope its cold! Lol it would be nice for them to feel the kind of cold we get here. Being up so high it gets quite nippy! We will be taking them to one of our fave pubs, (not many up here) it's quite cute, in the middle of nowhere just outside town. VERY popular though, if you don't book you don't get in! Everyone from all over goes there, Great food for a Great price!

Oh I forgot to mention, Im back at Monday meetings FYI. I figured Monday is the best day for me really. I seem to get headaches on Mondays (i dont know why that is) and this way if I work Saturday I can still have a normal "weekend" of 2 days. Besides they rarely rosted me on Monday's anyway!

Well I just had a small argument with a girl on WW boards. Someone this morning wrote in asking about Lapband surgery and as you would all know i considered this last year. I gave my opinon and because someone has a surgeon in the family they are an expert. I simply said that if you do the research (as I did) and you still decide you want to do it then I will be supportive but I personally wouldn't do it! She didnt like this and stuck her nose out of joint! I simply wrote back, that if I offended anyone I appoligise (although numerous people said they agreed with me) and that if they didnt want my opinon they shouldnt have asked! THERE!
LOL

Anyway, Im going to head off.

Working tomorrow! WOO HOO!

Kaz xoxox

Not too Bad!

Hey Guys

Well I gained but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! I gained 1.4kg. Considering Im 1kg less than I was when we got home on Friday!

Well I watched "The Biggest Loser" last night, I am going to be watching this each night, for inspiration. I in no way agree with how fast they lose their weight (and statistics prove they put it back on!) but I will watch it for pure inspiration and motivation!

So I have set myself an AIM! TBL goes for 12 weeks so I hope to be between 20 and 25kg loss at the end of the 12 weeks.

So we'll see how we go!

Otherwise things are good.

Talk soon dudes and dudettes!

Who Knows?

Hey Guys

Well Im back home from melbourne! It was a great visit. TOO MUCH to write about. Great nights out, great catch ups, Great Food poisoning! LOL yes I got food poisoning!!!!! Great ha?

Long trip down, long trip up. Dogs are stuffed. They have been sleeping since we got home. Shaun and I are tired, can't wait to go to bed!

Im not sure how I've gone this week with weight loss, I couldn't weigh in on Monday since they changed the weigh in time. i think i have put weight on though. :o( Shaun has too. It's so hard. I didnt do all that bad, it was just so hard with 5 dinners to go to, and a lunch! Plus add the travel food on to it too! Driving down is hard to be able to eat within your points, when you only stop at Petrol stations you don't get much choice. Driving back up is worse cause it was during the night, what's open during the night besides petrol stations? I did make healthier choices, (in most cases) and I didnt go overboard, so I can live with my decisions. It just means next week, I'll be PERFECT. well now Ive been down there Ive got this year to kick ass at my weight loss so when im back down there I can get a few gasps! LOL

Anyway, Im off. Sooo cant be bothered being on here
